Attack & Defence
Keep your service online while attacking the others. Checkers track uptime, and captures add to the score.
How it works
Create a world on Biterra, add your challenges, then open it to players. Scores and progress update as they play.
Customise the map and event rules, then invite your teams.
Start with the challenge bank, or load your own material when you already have exercises ready to go.
Open the world to participants. They capture territory and can track how they're doing.
Use scores, achievements, and activity signals to see where people are engaged and where they need help.
Challenge formats
Flags, conquest, timebombs, live submissions, and more. Build events or use the CTF challenge bank to start from ready-to-use cyber challenges.
World modes
Pick the format that fits the exercise.
Keep your service online while attacking the others. Checkers track uptime, and captures add to the score.
Give each player a fixed window to finish the tasks. Review results when time is up.
Work through offensive challenges, then investigate the same activity from the defender’s side.

Put participants in a scenario. Their decisions shape the next event, and you can review their choices.
Challenge library
Import pre-built challenges from our community bank. Build events without starting from a blank challenge list.
Player workspaces
Enable Pwnboxes for your world and assigned players can launch a browser-based Kali desktop from the map.
AI Coach
Players can ask from inside a challenge. Choose unlocked hints for a competition, step-by-step coaching for practice, or switch challenge help off.
Achievements system
Players earn achievements for solves, streaks and first strikes. Their progress carries across worlds, whether they're taking part in cyber education programmes or one-off CTF events.
Organisations and teams we partner with to make cyber learning more engaging, including university CTF events.
